About & methodology
WHAT FACTPEPO IS
factrepo is a repository of global political facts, recorded chronologically in threads. Each fact states what happened, when, where, and who was involved — and is cited to its sources. Facts are readable by humans and crawlable by machines: every entry has a stable ID, a JSON representation, and structured data for AI agents and search engines.
THE RECORD
A fact is an event record: a short claim line and a two-to-four sentence account, sorted by when the event occurred — not when it was reported. Where governments or parties disagree about what happened, the record says so, and both accounts are stated.
VERDICTS
- ✓ VERIFIED — the claim is confirmed by the cited sources.
- ⚠ DISPUTED — the parties or sources conflict; the record states both positions.
- ✕ FALSE — the claim is contradicted by the cited sources.
Most facts carry no verdict — they are event records, not adjudications.
SOURCES & WRITING
Every fact must cite at least one retrievable source. Writers may draft facts with AI assistance that extracts who, what, when and where from a source link — the writer remains responsible for checking every extracted detail before publication. No fact is published without a human writer.
FOR MACHINES
Public API at /api/v1, machine index at /llms.txt, RSS per thread, and ClaimReview structured data on every verdict.
